The UNICUBE Elemental Analyzer from Elementar

Combustion Analysis has Never been Easier

The UNICUBE combines low operating costs, high-sensitivity, and versatility for simultaneous elemental analysis of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and sulfur in solid and liquid samples.

With state-of-the-art desorption, separation, and detection technologies, the UNICUBE can achieve ultra-high elemental sensitivity for a wide range of applications.

The UNICUBE is designed for simultaneous carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and sulfur analysis in solid and liquid samples, ranging from 0.1 mg chemical substance to 15 mg of liquid fuel to 1 g of inhomogeneous soil.

The analyzer offers options for oxygen and chlorine determination and is designed for highest system uptime thanks to its low-maintenance design.

Sample Flexibility

  • Direct Temperature Programmed Desorption (direct TPD) technology utilizes a unique gas separation column and high-sensitivity thermal conductivity detector setup.
  • This enables large dynamic ranges of elemental ratios and sample weight measurements.
  • Measurement ranges include samples with C:N and C:S elemental ratios of up to 12,000:1, homogenous substances of small sample weights (0.1 mg), and non-homogenous samples up to 1 g.

Capability and Reliability

  • Active tube heating prevents condensation and measurement inaccuracies.
  • Use of the optional infrared (IR) detector permits the simultaneous collection of CHN thermal data and sub-μg sulfur data.
  • Patented ball valve blank-free sample introduction along with jet-injection of oxygen delivers results with the highest accuracy and precision.

User Friendly – Low Maintenance – Quiet Operation

  • Fast and automated analysis with 120 position autosampler for 24/7 unattended operation.
  • User friendly clamp connections, slide-out furnaces, and tool-free maintenance.
  • Novel self-regulating cooling air circulator provides for low-noise level operation.

The ideal solution for pharmaceutical, chemical contact, quality control, and academic research labs.
